Reduce Room Warm-up Time & Save Energy Costs

Introducing insulating wallpaper, lining paper or thermal liners to your home are quick, simple and relatively cheap options which could help cut down on heating bills.  They certainly won't be as effective as insulating a wall, however insulating wallpaper is speedy and inexpensive meaning you can have it up in no time at all with little disruption.  It can be painted or wallpaper added to create a further insulating layer over insulating lining paper.

Insulating wallpaper and liners are specifically designed to create a barrier to help reduce the heat transfer through walls and ceilings. Some products can even reduce room warm-up time by up to 65%, with up to 15% energy saving*.

Insulated Lining Paper Rolls

We can use 2.5 to 3mm thick lining paper, which is also perfect for covering damaged and textured walls. The lining paper provides a great surface for painting over or for paste-the-wall wallpapers and it prevents mould by allowing walls to breathe and raises the room temperature meaning it helps to combat mould growth.

Another lining paper comprises of 4mm thick polystyrene insulation which is laminated to a fibre reinforced pulp lining paper.  This liner paper helps in reducing condensation problems which often cause mould and mildew growth and help rooms to heat up faster  It’s a c cheap and effective way to insulate.  The lining paper is fire rated and CFC Free.

*”When a Wallrock thermal liner is applied to a solid wall dwelling with a U value of 2.1 Wm2K the resulting u value is improved (ie. reduced) to 1.79 Wm2K.  This represents a saving of 15% in the static heat loss.  Its Thermal Resistance has been measured at 0.0821 m2K/W.”
