Our Work
This is a limited selection of recent projects completed. With some thoughts on the reasons for the colour schemes and the materials used.
We use quality branded paints, wallpaper and materials to ensure the best professional finish is achieved.
01
Expanding the Space
This was a dark painted room when we first saw it.
The owners wanted to enlarge and brighten the room. To enlarge small rooms, the quickest way to give the illusion of space is by embracing natural light sources and opening up windows. When it comes to painting tips to make a room look bigger, a simple rule is to paint all walls and ceiling in the same or very similar tone.
02
Before and After
The Homeowner took and blended these before and after pictures into one image.
A beautiful room in a spectacular townhouse.
03
Stretching the Space Vertically
The client wanted the space to feel cozier and appear narrower. We used the same darker tone for all walls and a lighter colour for the ceiling. Stretching the space vertically in this way works best if the ceiling is low and painted in as light colour as possible.
04
Feature Wall
Our clients wanted to bring a key feature to a hallway and stairwell. The colour scheme when they moved in did not make the most of the space and did not give the first impression to their home that they wanted.
We had a good talk about the effect they were trying to achieve and looked at some samples that would work well in the space. The client decided that some pattern on the wall would lift the space but did not want something that would be overwhelming.
The walls were stripped and prepared and all woodwork rubbed down. We then hung the wallpaper in the hall and up the stairs, making a feature of the wall opposite the door. All woodwork was painted in a clean and bright white to really lift the paper.
The finished look was a bright, open and welcoming space and the clients were delighted with the final look, it certainly made the great first impression they were looking for!
